Looking Good is a Family Tradition
I started the company about 3 years ago to keep my grandfather, Eugene F. Meeks, spirit alive. He loved to wear bright and unique coats and had a personality that fit them perfectly. He once was the fastest halfack in the country at UK and went on to a successful career in the Air Force. When I was in college he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, Dementia, and Sundowner's after already battling and beating a cancerous tumor wrapped around his spine. He taught me alot and I took his passing hard; wanting to not let a disease ultimately define him I decided to start wearing his bright sport coats and suits to Keeneland and events to memoralize him and get to say his name again if someone asked the origin of the coats. I always enjoyed mixing the new and old styles to come up with a one of a kind memorable outfit. Fast forward three years ago and I had the opportunity to start this company to take that love for color and unique patterns and make men's accessories. With each piece sold my grandfather's name stays alive and his spirit lives on.
We want to help you create your own style story.
My goal is to make dressing up fun again for individuals with unique designs and colorful prints. Many of the designs revolve around the feeling of a day at the races or sipping on some fine Kentucky bourbon. I will wear the bright coats I have of my grandfathers' but I provide accessories for those that may not. My hope is to get the most reluctant dressers to give it a try. Just a pocket square can really make someone's outfit even if its jeans and a sport coat. They are conversation starters that get you noticed and make you memorable.
I have just recently started designing the fabric myself so the custom element of our service has grown. We offer custom orders for weddings or private events and can also do youth sizes of everything we provide. Based on female reaction to the patterns I am also in the process of adding women's dress scarves to our offerings in the near future.
